Words90 - Game Rules

Welcome to Words90! A fast-paced word game where you race against the clock.

1. The Objective

Score as many points as possible within 90 seconds.

2. The Arena

• You start with 9 Tiles in the grid.
• The 3 Middle Tiles are always face-up and available to use.
• The Top and Bottom tiles start face-down. You must Flip them to reveal new letters.

3. How to Play

1. Flip Tiles: Tap any face-down tile to reveal a letter.
2. Select Letters: Tap tiles to spell a word. You can use any combination of visible letters.
3. Bank It: Press the TICK button to submit your word.
4. Clear: Press the CROSS button to clear your current selection.

4. Scoring System

Scoring is based on letter values multiplied by a length bonus.

• Letter Values: Common letters (A, E, I) are worth 1 point. Rarer letters (Q, Z) are worth 10 points.
• The Multiplier: Longer words score exponentially higher!
  Formula: Score = Base Value × (Word Length - 2)
  • 3 Letter Word: 1x Multiplier
  • 4 Letter Word: 2x Multiplier
  • 5 Letter Word: 3x Multiplier
  • ...and so on!

5. Penalties

Be careful! Submitting a word that is "Not English" will temporarily block the game for 1.5 seconds, wasting precious time.
